SDM Redemption Mini Haul

by - October 27, 2012

...or as Jayne calls it “Sinnage

I finally did some damage to my Shoppers Drug Mart Optimum Points!
I was able to redeem $100 worth of product this weekend. YES! I savvy shop at Shopper’s. I usually will only buy items that are on sale AND have bonus Optimum points. So I rack up enough points to do this type of redemption a couple times a year. Anyhoooo, I got a few other sundries, but the majority of my haul was beauty related.

Oh Hai reflection hehe

UD Naked palette above Quo Back to Basics palette

I got the Quo palette based of a reveiw that Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty did (with swatches).  It is a pretty darn good dupe of Urban Decay's Naked palette at a fraction of the cost: Quo $25 vs UD $60 (CDN). I got it for a gift. These things are selling like hotcakes. There was only one left after I grabbed this one O-O.

I really wanted to get Benefit’s She’s so…JetSet or the How to Look Good at Anything kits but they won’t be available for a couple weeks AGGHH!!! Maybe I will just get if from the Sephora site….

  1. Nice haul! I bought two of the Back to Basics palettes yesterday (one for me, one for a friend in the US). I didn't do the redemption because I'm hoping they have one in December so I can get Christmas presents for family. :D

    1. I was going to grab the last Back to Basic palette for myself but then thought why do I need another palette that is so similar to the Naked palette. LOL I still want it! That's the junkie in me.

  2. The Quo Back To Basic palette is such a good dupe for Urban Decay naked palette. I have the Naked palette 2 and am loving it. Contemplating on getting the Naked Palette but don't want to dish out another $60. Quo palette sounds promising. I have to go check out my Shoppers and see if they have any. Thanks!

  3. Hahaha, glorious sinnage! I don't know if I should redeem or not! I'm so torn! I wanted to wait until December...but the Back to Basics palette looks great! I know what you mean though, I want to get it even though I already have BOTH Naked palettes! What is wrong with me?! I haven't even gone into Shoppers just to avoid wanting to redeem. I have 95 000 points so I really can surround myself with makeup if I wanted to!

I was waiting for the Benefit kits but I just had to splurge!
For $25, it is hard to resist getting a Back to Basics palette for myself!!! I think if I see another one I just might get it, obviously the makeup gods are sending me a sign then right?! LOL

  4. I got the Quo palette today at Pharmaprix. I don't even know if I would wear eye shadows enough for this to be a good buy for me but really, I only have the palette we got in Glossybox plus 2 of the L'Oreal Infalliable ones so I figured I wasn't overdoing it and got it. I haven't decided 100% if I will keep it for myself but I probably will - I just want to rip it open and swatch.

Thanks for posting about it and linking to the swatching post, this is why I knew to look for it and got it :) You were the direct influence on my purchase ;)

    1. The Back to Basic palette would be a great staple for you - I know I depend on my Naked palette for my everyday eyes. Even the brush is the same in the palettes! HEHE am I good or bad influence? LOL. I hope you really enjoy it. To create some looks search for Naked palette looks on Youtube. Now that you have a dupe you will be able to recreate some looks :D

    2. That's true! Having such a close dupe of a super popular palette will make it super easy! That's it, I'm keeping it for myself. :D
