I Joined the Cult

OMG I am so excited! After lusting after these for a year now, I finally got my hands on some Cult Nails lacquers!!! I have been following Maria through her blog @ cultnails.com, from the birth of Cult Nails with the production of her first lacquer, Ionic, to the newest summer collection release, the Fairy Tale Collection. After seeing all the rave reviews on Maria’s polishes, I had to get me some!

On May 12th, Cult Nails had a 24 hour sale on select polishes for $5 (max of 3). I chose the polishes I wanted a few days before hand and on the morning May 12th, I woke myself up early (on a Saturday no less!) and placed my order promptly at 8:00 am. I wasn’t missing out on this sale! I missed the first sale in April when I was visiting my dad. He lives in the country and the only internet access I had was my cell phone and that wasn’t going to work at all! So believe me I was prepared for this sale! <

The four I snapped up were:

Devious Nature – a beautiful hot pink – love it!

Cruisin’ Nude – a nude with a slight pink shimmer.

Here you can see the pink shimmer

Enigmatic – a dark eggplant with silvery blue/pink shimmer. This is a hard one to describe. I was staring into the bottle so hard to see the shimmers that my co-worker asked if there was a genie in the bottle LOL goof.

Let Me Fly – dark blue teal with silver shimmer.

I have only used Devious Nature so far for a full mani. I am not a nail swatcher, I can barely apply polish decently LOL.
I envy the ladies that can swatch several polishes in one sitting but I get so happy with the first one and that’s it...I want to wear it forever HAHA.

The formula with Devious Nature is what I would consider the Goldilocks of nail polish formulas (from my experience). It wasn’t too thick, it wasn’t too thin, it was just right. I could have gotten away with a one coater but I am so used to applying a thin first coat, that I just automatically applied two coats. I applied it over OPI Nail Envy and topped it with Seche Vite. I am in love with this colour. You might hear that a lot from me with the Cult Nail polishes HAHA.  I am a nail polish carrying member of the Cult now!
DBP, Formaldehyde, Toulene & Camphor free

Cult Nail lacquers retail for $10 at cultnails.com. If you sign up for the Cult Nails newsletters, you can receive notifications of new releases and upcoming sales.
Also to note: shipping to Canada was $11 for four polishes. One polish would ship for $8. So you would need to consider that if you plan on ordering (to Canada).  I would wait for sales to order, that way you get more bang for your buck. Believe me, these polishes are worth it.
There are more I want to get...like Nevermore, Ionic, Hypnotize Me...~~sigh~~

Did anyone else partake in the Cult Nails sale? I want to know what you got!

  1. I joined the Cult too! I ended up ordering the entire Fairy Tale collection plus four others! Devious Nature looks fantastic! I can't swatch in one sitting either. I like to enjoy the colour I have on for a few days before trying another. I tried doing it one afternoon and I stopped after three colours. My nails were suffering from all the acetone.

  3. It's fascinating I had no idea about all this until I got to know this post of yours over here. And I have a question for you. Do you happen to know how to defend your personal blog posts from being used without you knowing it?
