April 2012 Luxe Box

I actually got this the same day I got my GlossyBox. Both April boxes arrived on the very last day of April LOL. Cutting it close!

This month’s Luxe Box theme is Cancer Awareness. Loose Button included a daffodil pin in the Luxe Box to raise awareness. To which I promptly stabbed myself on when I was opening my Luxe Box. What a goof! Anyhow I thought it was a pretty cool idea for Loose Button to promote Cancer Awareness. I donate to Cancer Care Manitoba as my mom was a breast cancer survivor and I had a ginormous ovarian tumour removed last year. Thankfully it wasn’t cancer but it wasn’t absolutely benign either so I still have to visit Cancer Care for 5 years as follow up. Giant ass tumours aren’t the norm I guess. Okay I could ramble on and on about my mom and my tumour but I don’t want to depress anyone J.

So I wanted to wait a day to post this so I could try out the Essie polish I received as well. And.......I LUV it!

The rundown: 1 full sized product, 4 deluxe samples

Essie nail polish – She’s Picture Perfect: Full size: I totally adore this polish. She’s Picture Perfect is from the 2012 Resort line. It’s a dark lilac that has a hint pink shimmer in it. This is going to be one of my summer go to polishes! Yep! Now I want more Essie!




Pantene Pro-V Aqua Light Shampoo and Conditioner: These are generous samples and the little mesh bag was a nice touch. Now I have banned Pantene from my house as I found that when I used it my shower drain was always clogged up with a yucky mixture of hair, shampoo and conditioner. EWWW Okay banned is too strong a word but I stopped buying it because of that reason. Since these samples are silicone free that may eliminate that problem.  It states Aqua Light has a ‘clean rinse technology’ that is water soluble and rinses off fast, leaving hair with no residue and no weight. Intriguing.



Bobos Remi –Leave in Conditioner: Deluxe sample: I can’t wait to try this. I normally use Infusium 23 but I am always looking for a better leave in conditioner. This sample states it will bring dry damaged hair back to life. My hair needs help. I just dyed it and it so dry right now.


Yves Rocher – Gentle Eye makeup Remover for Sensitive Eyes: Deluxe sample: I seem to remember using Yves Rocher makeup remover before. I am not sure if it was the sensitive eyes formula but since I DO have sensitive eyes and wear lots of eye makeup this is something I am very willing to try J.  I do like Yves Rocher products.
