Hi all! I thought I would do a quick post about my favorite makeup items for January.I have been trying a couple of new foundations this month and one has stood out for me.
I also shopped my stash and brought out some old favorites that I totally adore. I have to remember to keep rotating my stash so I don’t forget about stuff. Gotta spread the love around right?
Lise Watier Teint Age Control Supreme Sedona Lace FB07
First up is the foundation I first mentioned, Lise Watier Teint Age Control Supreme. The shade I chose was Neutre; a neutral beige. This is a medium coverage foundation. I do find that it needs a good primer underneath it to last all day. With no primer it will wear off my cheek area by the four hour mark. With primer, it will last the whole work day plus into the evening. I love how it gives me a semi-dewy finish.
Sedona Lace FB07 brush – I find this flat top kabuki brush is perfect for using with the Lise Watier foundation. It is so soft but still dense enough to evenly buff the foundation in. I find certain brushes work better with certain foundations and these two work are heaven.
Annabelle CC Cream
Sedona Lace EB13 – even though this is an eye brush, I have been using it exclusively for buffing in my concealer. The synthetic bristles give an airbrushed effect when I use this to work in the concealer under my eyes and around the nose. I love it!
Arbonne Translucent Setting Powder (samples) – a few years ago I was part of Arbonne. I didn’t sell the products. I just had a membership so my friends and I could get the discounts. I have since let that go but I still have all these translucent setting powder samples left over. I was reorganizing my makeup drawers and found bags of these samples. I started using them again and I forgot how awesome this powder was. This just makes your face look so good! So smooth. It allows the foundation finish to still come through without mattifying it. I never actually tried the actual loose setting powder in the jar because I thought it was so expensive ($43 CDN) but from how these sample perform, I just might have to get it!
Pandora's Box St. Tropez blush
Another stash find was Pandora’s Box St. Tropez blush. I love this rosy pink shade. It just looks so soft and fresh. I believe I received this in a Luxe Box a couple years ago. As you can tell this was previously loved hard. I love digging through my stash!
CoverGirl LipPerfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Rose Twist
Of course I have to mention the CoverGirl LipPerfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Rose Twist. I have been obsessed with this colour. It is with me at all times. This is the perfect colour for me.
Buxom Call Me Hold the Line Eyeliner
Buxom Call Me Hold the Line Eyeliner – this waterproof eyeliner was a surprise. I received this when I cashed in some Sephora points. It sat idle for the previous month on my makeup table. One morning as I was getting ready for work I missed placed my eyeliner brush and got frustrated and grabbed this little guy. Well call me surprised! It was jet black and last all the work day with no fading. It did fade a bit later in the evening but not a lot. I think I like this better than my UD Zero eye pencil.
MAC MSF in Soft and Gentle
A special shout out to my MAC MSF in Soft and Gentle. This is a gorgeous highlighter. It gives you a sheer champagne-y glow. I have been wearing it every day to help give me a nice glow.
These are the products I have been loving this month. It seems to be that I all over a dewy finish this month. My skin has been so dry. So anything that makes me look fresh and alive I am all over it!
What was your favorite product this month?
