I recently went back home to visit my pops. Since ‘hometown’ is a small bordertown in Ontario, I was able to do a quick trip across the border to Minnesota. I went to Kmart  - the nearest Target was a 2 hr drive away :(



I like the eyebrow kit and use it every day now as well as the blush, a very nice pink. I have used the bronzer as a contour on my cheeks and nose. I do like the translucent powder but you need to apply with a very light hand or you will end up with a cakey face. I have been using the sponge applicator it came with. I dab it in the product then dab the back of my hand to take the majority off and then on my face where I need it. It’s been working well using this method. The cream eyeliner was a disaster LOL I do not like it at all. I really wanted to try the HD Powder but Kmart didn’t have it. ~~wahhh~~

I also picked up Revlon’s ColorStay foundation (Normal/Dry) in Buff, some Ardell false eyelashes and L’Oreal’s Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black. They also had Mally, but the selection was well picked over LOL. I am going back again soon, so I hope they have restocked by then!

So now I jonesing for more MAC. Want it, need it, gotta have it!

I went the MAC counter on my lunch break. My purpose - to get the 217 eyeshadow brush. I couldn't find a cheaper alternative locally. Well I got it. And more...

I need me some shadow for it. right? Since I don't have unlimited funds I only bought one eyeshadow - EMBARK. Its a mauvy brown. I have been using it everyday since I bought it.

I also purchased the Mineralized Skin Finish Natural in Medium. My co-worker bought it a couple weeks ago and it looked great on her. So I had to try it. Another daily staple. LOL.

As well I just happened to spot the pigments hiding behind the brush display. The TAN pigment jumped out at me and right into my bag!  I am amazed at how multipurpose it is. I have been using it on my eyelids (luv it) and as touch of sparkle in my lip gloss. I see it can also be used as a nail polish colour when mixed with a clear nail polish. I plan on pressing some of the pigment into an eyeshadow so I don't have to worry about fallout and can carry it in my makeup bag.

This trip's pricetag? Roughly $100. :( But it was worth it!

I almost bought the Wonder Woman blush but I figured I have enough for one day.... so tempting....

MAC Haul #2

So I was at The Bay and happened by the MAC counter. I never tried MAC products before but heard many raves about the MAC Fix +. So I perused the counter for awhile. Needless to say I didn't return back to work empty handed. I purchased the MAC Fix+, MAC lipstick in Touch and Painterly Paint Pot. I have to say I love all 3 items. The MA did give me some foundation sample to try but they caused my face to break out. I have a big enough battle keeping my face clear without foundation working against me. :(

Did I say I luv'd 'em? I used all 3 everyday. I prime my lids with Painterly, set my makeup with the Fix+ and when I am waiting for the bus (to get to work) I apply the Touch. :).
I must say I have received compliments on how my face looks with the Fix+. It give your face a nice dewy look.
