I discovered these CoverGirl lip balms in my Winter Luxe Box. In
that box came Ruby Twist, a pinky red. I liked it so much that I picked up
another one, Rose Twist, while perusing through Walmart. It was $6.97 plus I
had a coupon for CoverGirl so I got it for $4.97. YAY! I am quite enjoying these
twist-up lip glosses.
They go on creamy and are a sheer coverage. The colour of
the product looks pretty intense but it doesn’t quite come out as potent. It is
more a sheer version of the colour. These ‘balms’ are fortified with shea
butter and mango. I did find them pretty moisturizing and my lips love them. In
this cold weather (-38C) I need any protection I can get and if I look good
doing it all the better! I find them reminiscent of the Revlon Lip Butters.

Rose Twist is a sheer pinky rose. I am obsessed with this
product ever since I got it. I love how the pink help wakes up my face.

Ruby Twist is pinky red. It seems intense in the crayon
but it is a lot sheerer than the colour looks. I usually build it up to get
something close to the crayon.

The only real cons I can say about these is that they don’t
last long. As soon as I drink something, I need to reapply. But then again they
are lip balms. Also the name is on the plastic wrap. Once that is gone all you have is the number on the bottom of the crayon. But then that isn't really a huge issue is it? That's just me being nit picky LOL

DeleteI have not tried these yet, but I don't know if I will since they seem too similar to all of those Revlon lip chubbies that have come out. I do like how Rose Twist looks on you though!

DeleteI am obsessed with jumbo lip pencils lately. I think the thing I really like about the CoverGirl ones is that I find them pretty moisturizing. Even more so that the Revlon ones although the Revlon chubbies have better colour payoff.
